Do you try to make the most of what you have? That's probably an instinct most of us have–to get the most bang for your buck.
I decided to give you a few more samples using designer paper scraps today. I always end up with tons of scraps, so I love ideas to use them.
In fact, when I'm able to use my scraps, I feel like I'm getting a FREE project out of it! I didn't cut into anything new, AND had I not made that, it may have gone to waste!
I made these at a seminar I attended. This one reminds me of a cross every time I see it. So you could easily use more formal colors/designs for a baptism or Easter card or something like that.
These strips are only 1/4" wide, so you can use even the tiniest of your scraps!! To put together, you weave the strips and then slide them as tightly together as possible.
Then attach them to a small piece of card stock in the center/weaved part to stabilize it.
By the way, this is another one that is a white on white card. I only added Razzleberry behind it to help it stand out in the picture.
The embossing folder used is Square Lattice and designer paper is Summer Smooches. Words are from Petite Pairs and die is Blossom Party.
These next 2 cards are fun and easy–very similar with pennants of different widths and greetings in a different style.
The embossing folders are Vintage Wallpaper and Elegant Bouquet. Stamp sets: Petite Pairs and Curly Cute.
Tell me the ways YOU like to use YOUR scraps!
