This blog will wrap up anything that may not have made the cut for the other posts.
One of the days that Steph and I had no excursions we just hung out at the resort and went down to one of the many pools we have. This day we may have gotten the only chairs left available. There were also cabanas scattered around the pool. I went and asked about them and was told I could reserve one for the day for either $400 or $800. Needless to say I took a pass. Later on a SU group someone had won a raffle for a $2500 cabana and invited everyone down. The other thing was there were a lot of wild cats around the beach at the resort. You mainly saw them early in the morning. I saw different people feeding them but don't know if they were tourists or locals. So I started the joke with my family when I would see cats hanging out in the cabanas. As in clearly they could not afford the cost and they need to be removed!! I know dumb but I enjoyed it.
(Steph: Todd said, "Sir, do you have a reservation for this cabana?" Haha. Love it.)
On our last night at the resort, SU had a huge luau for us. It was really nice at a big open area out by the beach. I only took a couple of pics since it was getting dark. A couple of these pics are from other demonstrator's posts.
I also didn't talk about this too much. After the SU stay at the resort ended on Sunday, Stephanie and I extended the Maui stay for a couple extra days at a condo in Lahaina which is on a different part of the island. He had some issues getting "checked in" at the condo. I never got an email with the code for the lock box with the key, so there was some anxious moments trying to get a hold of someone to get me the code to get it. Once I had the key and was in the condo there was a dish that had 2 more keys. I guess dumb of me but I assumed that they were the same as the key that I had worked so hard to get. Later we were going to go out to see the sights around Lahaina and on a whim I checked the door after I pulled it shut. I had grabbed one of the "other" keys out of the dish and it wasn't the right key. So again we had to track someone down and have someone sent over to let us back in. Killed our little shopping trip. The condo was really nice although we spent very little time there. Wonderful view from the back porch or little back yard on the ocean. Great place to relax at night or eat breakfast in the morning.
Last a couple pics of the Banyan trees in the heart of Lahaina. These pics don't do it just how huge and intricate this tree is. (Steph: This/the largest banyan tree is in Lahaina–150 years old!) We stopped for some last minute shopping before heading back to the airport to fly home. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end.
Thanks for checking out the blog this week. I hope you enjoyed a laugh or a smile.
A sincere thanks to all those that made this trip possible. From all Steph's wonderful customers to her faithful team, we couldn't do it without you. I hope you felt a little like you came along with us! ~ Todd
Note: Less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the incentive trip each year.
