Good morning Stampers!!
I have more closeups for you, but FIRST I have a need to share with you!
A WAY TO HELP THANK OUR HEALTHCARE WORKERS….
One of my team members works for Saint Mary's and shared this with my team; I'm sharing with YOU:
(If you follow me and are not from the Grand Rapids area, maybe you can contact YOUR hospital and see if they have have a similar program.)
My name is Alex and I am a physician assistant at Saint Mary’s emergency department. I have a request from anyone willing. I am hoping that people would be willing to write “thank you cards”. My intent is to hand these out to the staff once the days start getting harder and harder. If anyone is willing to work on these or have your kids make some homemade ones we can work on brightening their days! These cards will be for everyone who works in the emergency department. This includes cleaning services, techs, radiology techs, respiratory therapist, unit secretary, registration, social work, case management, nursing, EMS, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, doctors and anyone else i might be missing. This morning I reached out to a small group within Rockford. Within an hour I had 100s of requests of people willing to help. I would like to include Spectrum health and Metro hospital as we are all working together. Please send all letters to the address below:Alex Vogt – Emergency Department
200 Jefferson Ave SE
Grand Rapids, MI 495031) All letters received will sit for 24+ hours before being handled and sent out.
2) please tape all letters shut rather then licking 😜
3) if you are sick we appreciate your support from Afar!Thank you very much,Alex Vogt
Send those cards you've been collecting from classes and clubs!
Use up some of that DSP you've been hoarding!
This is an awesome time for stampers to share our love of crafting with others AND show our appreciation for our healthcare workers who are OVERworked and making sacrifices for all the rest of us! (I'm praying for them. That would be a good thing to do while we're writing them notes, too!)
Oh hey–while you're at it, if you are one who has been suddenly been thrust into schooling your children at home…First, I'm praying for you as well; you didn't have the time to prayerfully prepare for homeschooling! It's a stressful time for SO many reasons! Second, maybe you and your children can have a craft time to make a card for their school teachers, too!
Several of my customers and fellow demonstrators are teachers, and the dedication to their students is amazing!
Ok, here are my closeups.
I sort of LOVE them.
One more thing…
I'm having another VIRTUAL CRAFTING NIGHT tomorrow Tuesday, 4/7, 7pm.
If you're interested in joining us (zoom meeting; bring a craft to your computer and chat with us) and aren't on Facebook/haven't been sent the invitation, let me know!!! And I'll send you one!
Have a wonderful day!
I'll be Live! on Facebook this morning at 10:30am ET!
