I have a friend who has a precious son, Vance.
I believe he's 5 and in kindergarden (but could be 6 and/or in 1st grade–don't recall.)
Unfortunately, the home of one of his best friends burned down–total loss.
The family and pets are fine. (Thank you, Lord!)
Their school decided to have a fundraiser–including a Crazy Coin Contest; classes are competing to see who can raise the most money.
Vance wants to help out however he can–AND winning the contest wouldn't be a bad thing either.
So he's taking orders & making bracelets (the Rainbow Loom ones?) for donations for his friend's family….
(His mom can't help him make these, by the way. He "needs" to do it. "It keeps [his] mind busy" and relieves "stress." Last I remember reading, he had orders for 74 bracelets!)
He's emptying his piggy bank….
They're collecting cans….
He even asked if their family could give their newly started Walt Disney World savings fund.
Love that kid.
So I wanted to encourage him, help him succeed and help the family.
If you want to help too–PRAY FOR THE FAMILY.
If you want to give, let me know as soon as possible. The Crazy Coin Contest is next week already.
Thanks, Vance, for being a great example for all of us!
Have a great weekend!
