Need a little sunshine today?!

November 1, 2013
Project Pics· The "Other" Stuff

1 Nov

I sure know I do!!

Well, I do have a couple things to brighten your day:

First, here's a card some of you have seen and made with me.

It's definitely cheery and bright–and looks like a sunny autumn day.

(very much UNlike today!)

Lovely As a Tree

It's such a cool look but so easy to make!

1) Cut out 2 pcs of cardstock the same size (white size here).

2) From ONE of them, cut out a window with your Stampin' Trimmer; this becomes your "mask" to protect the rest of your card.

3) Lay the mask on top of the other piece and start sponging ink colors, one at a time, (through or INTO the window) as desired.

  • I attached the mask to the cs with a couple pieces of temp tape.
  • For the new firm foam pads, I felt the need to pounce off some color before sponging onto my project.

4) Sponge kind of in a circular motion to blend it well–reinking the
sponge and continuting as long as you feel it's needed for your desired
look.

5) Remove mask and finish card as desired.

My colors, top to bottom, are Gumball Green, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango & Cherry Cobbler; card base is Tangerine Tango.

The other item to brighten your day is the new "Best of" stamp set for November:

Best of Snow

Best of Snow

I adore the Hedgehog snowman!!

Just a reminder for those of you who remember these stamps…they are re-sized to fit into this $14.95 stamp set.

(Each stamp fits the "C" or "D" blocks.)

Have a wonderful weekend!
