Unveiled *FLIP* Card

October 21, 2013
Project Pics· The "Other" Stuff

21 Oct

My Christmas Stamp Camp was LOTS OF FUN!!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came–and my family who just came to help, too!!

An extra special bonus was my sister Teresa (from Florida) and Emilio (nephew that was born when I went down to help in February) being there for awhile!!

She was able to work it out last minute to come this weekend, because my dad's having surgery today. (Prayers for him would be appreciated.)

So Teresa and Emilio both came to the Camp to play! 😉

Ok, remember I asked for ideas on a Flip Card for the camp?

Well….

NO ONE sent me ideas!

But of course, you know I HAD to do one!!

I kinda based it on the "Frankencelery" one I copied for the Shoebox Swap.

But I wanted it horizontal, rather than vertical.

So, here's my Christmas Elf:

FLIP!

Isn't he cute?!

My first attempt was a little disturbing.

I had used a different punch for the nose, and it just didn't work.

When Elizabeth saw it, she said, "He SEES you when you're SLEEPING!"

(I had the colors switched and she thought it was supposed to be Santa.)

She cracks me up. Didn't like it.

But then she also thought "Frankencelery" was creepy, too.

This guy works for me, though.

Here's what I used for him:

  • Circle Card Thinlits Dies (by the way, these aren't in any catalog…just fliers)
  • Naturals Ivory, Gumball Green, White & Black cs
  • Season of Style DSP stack
  • Circle punches: 1 3/4" & 3/4"
  • Small Oval punch
  • Ticket Duo Builder punch
  • Merry Minis Punch Pack (carryforward from 2012 Holiday Catalog)
  • Be Very Merry
  • (small) Basic Rhinestones
  • Stampin' Sponge with Crumb Cake ink
  • Sponge Dauber with Blushing Bride ink
  • White Gel Pen
  • Black Stampin' Write Marker

I'm sure I'll be sharing more from the camp with you, but I'm not sure how quickly.

Make sure you check back tomorrow, though….

It starts a new week of "weekly deals".

SO–if there's anything you want on the CURRENT LIST of deals, get them today.

AND if you're hoping to sign up as a demonstrator for $25, TODAY is the last day!

Have a great week!

He is so cute Steph! I'm glad you came up with something! I did think about it…does that count? My brain just wasn't working then and then of course I forgot about it…you wait…old age hits us all! :0)
