Must See TV, part 2

October 10, 2013
Tricks of the Trade

10 Oct

Nope.

Still no TV.

But here's a tip that came to life for me within the past couple days.

Christmas StarIt makes me love my Christmas Star stamp even more:

Q: What could make Clear-Mount stamps more user-friendly?

A: If they stayed on the acryllic block better.

Solution: Apply a little 2-Way Glue to the sticker side of the stamp!

First of all, let me tell you a little about 2-Way Glue….

  • One way to use is WET. Apply glue and immediately add glitter or attach to your project and let dry.
  • Second way to use is TACKY. Apply glue and let dry FIRST. Then use similar to "post-it" type removable glue.

The second way–TACKY–is how you can make your stamps stay on your block.

When I first tried this technique, I completely covered the sticker side of the stamp.

Unnecessary!

For my beautiful Christmas Star, I drew a line from center to tip on each point of the star.

That may even be unnecessary.

I recently read that just a dot of 2-Way Glue will work! (Haven't tried that yet with my other stamps.)

But I'm amazed how well my Christmas Star stays on my block!!

(and then comes off when I want it to.)

Happy Me!!!!

You decide what works for you. But DEFINITELY give it a try.

Then…

HAPPY YOU!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with another great tip–perfect for a girl like me.

And I'm guessing for YOU, too.

Have a great day!
