I just realized I again took absolutely NO PICTURES at my Open House Thursday!!
But we had a lot of fun!
First, I must say CONGRATULATIONS!! to Cindy Booth for winning the drawing for $25 in FREE product! It will be on its way soon!! *Ü*
Second, I must say THANK YOU!!! to my mom, Dot Alighire and Kathy Polderman for helping clean up last night!!
I appreciate you very much!!
Third, here's a card we made, featuring a few new products:
- Pretty Print embossing folder (with Core'dinations cardstock) from the Holiday Catalog
- New In Color designer paper stack
- New In Color Boutique Details (the button!)
Then, of course, there's the ever-present Four You (hello) stamp set….Have you ordered yours yet?!
Ha! Made me think of the old(er) movie Crazy People with Dudley Moore. Did you ever see that movie?
The character played by David Paymer (had to look it up) could only say "hello" in the beginning of the movie. Toward the end, he says a line like, "and the customary hello at the beginning and the end," when dictating a memo to someone.
Cracks me up.
Anyway, back to my card….
So, the Core'dinations cardstock comes in an assorted pack of colors now–in each color collection or set of In Colors.
I used Early Espresso from the Neutrals Collection.
Once it's run through the Big Shot with a folder, it already looks a little white.
If you want it to be more pronounced, just sand it a little.
Love the look.
OH–and that LOOK, the Pretty Print, is just that. A look.
I've had people ask me what the print says, and I found out it doesn't say anything. You may be able to decipher a word here and there, but it's just intended to be "pretty print" for any occasion, any season. *Ü* I like it.
The rest of the colors here are Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake and Pistacho Pudding (Boutique Detail.)
And last….I was asked for the recipe for the snack we had. They're simple and yummy:
Can't Leave Alone Bars
Combine:
-
- 1 pkg (dry) yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Microwave/melt together & combine until smooth:
-
- 6 oz (half bag) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter
Press 2/3 of dough into bottom of greased 9×13 pan. Pour chocolate over base. Drop teaspoonfuls of the rest of the dough over the chocolate. Bake at 350, 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool, cut & enjoy!!
Thank you to EVERYONE who came to my Open House!
Have a great week!
