Have I learned NOTHING in these past few months of Scrappy Monday?!
I was cleaning up my stamping area yesterday to get ready to stamp my sample for today. So many teeny, tiny little scraps….
Completely cleaning up rarely happens. I just needed a little area to get my thoughts on paper. (What were those thoughts again?)
I scooped up something that I didn't end up liking for my Pin-spiration on Friday. And it almost went into the trash! ALMOST.
I guess I did learn a little something, because that scrap is the focal point of my Scrappy Card for today.
Can you see it? Cloudy days and evenings aren't good days to take my pictures. Sorry!
I adjusted the light when I edited the picture….I think you can see the backgrounds better, but the colors may be a little "off."
The colors are Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. (Kate's going to [accuse] me of "really loving" Tangerine Tango again!) All the accent colors from Friday's Pin-spiration.
The stamps on the center image are the same as the backgrounds on the squares, but I "stamped off" (inked normally and stamped once on scrap paper) before stamping them on the Vanilla.
My background pieces were scraps, too, but I cut them down to nice squares to mimic the Postage Stamp punch used in the center.
I used the same sets again: Summer Silhouettes, Itty Bitty Bits, Made For You.
I'm hoping to make up a little bit this week for my lack of chatting with you last week. Check back tomorrow for a few great birthday cards–some work from your "peers"!
