Howlstooth & Scaringbone Strikes Again!

September 26, 2012
Project Pics

26 Sep

Is Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP one of your favorites yet?! It IS one of mine.

I'll share later…

First, I have a sample using the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle….

(The bundles in the Holiday Mini Catalog are such a good deal!! I love how many options we have to save and get just what we want!)

100_0610So I can't take credit for this first card at all. A fellow demonstrator that I swap with, Justine Bass, made it.

Obviously, she just used pieces of the bundle to make a card (rather than a treat bag.)

You probably can't see it in the picture, but one of my favorite parts of the card is actually the use of the spider web embossing folder.

Plus, she added some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz (pg 158) to make it even cooler!

I made this next card really quickly last night using my favorite Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP (pg 24, Holiday Mini).

There are so many fall designs in this–a lot of plaids, houndstooth and chevron.

Button Buddies & HowlstoothIt's the perfect fall DSP, because it definitely can be used for Halloween projects, but it doesn't scream Halloween–for those of us who don't really do Halloween.

I used the Chevron embossing folder on the DSP, too.

I was hoping the lines matched up a little better, but I still liked adding the texture to the DSP.

There's also a little bit of 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon in the corner, too (pg 26, Holiday Mini.)

No, this isn't one of the FREE ribbons this month….Those are the 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in the full catalog, pg 172, #4.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, I also used Button Buddies and Occasions Alphabet for this card.

Check back tomorrow for a couple more samples using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone that you might not have seen yet….
