…and started on some Christmas samples using products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog!
I'm certainly not ready for Christmas, but I do need to plan ahead a little–especially since I have a "Christmas" workshop scheduled at the end of this month!
I focused on a couple different products–Scentsational Season set (pg 16) and Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (pg 20.)
- The stamp set coordinates with a set of Framelits for the Big Shot–available in a bundle for a discount.
- The DSP is really cool…a pad of paper 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" (perfect for cards or 6"x6" pages); 4 each of 12 different designs! At first glance (in the catalog) they look very Christmas-y. But a closer look reveals that they are actually very versatile!!
So I decided to make my first sample a little more along the lines of my desires. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I LOVE hot chocolate!
I cut little pom poms in quarters, rolled/tightened them back up and attached them with Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue. So fun!!
Colors are Baja Breeze, Early Espresso (and Island Indigo in the DSP.)
I'm still "bucking" the Christmas idea a little bit with a baby card as my vision for my 2nd one. I just love the playfulness.
The gingerbread man is Soft Suede; other colors are Cherry Cobbler, Lucky Limeade, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.
(Are you ready to schedule your own Christmas workshop yet?)
