oh WHAT fun! (flip!)

Project Pics· Tricks of the Trade

22 Aug

I'm flippin' again!

…with my Circle Thinlits Card Dies.

I used the same stamp set and DSP as yesterday–Christmas Messages and Season of Style DSP.

But I made a few changes:

Thinlits Card Dies, Christmas Messages

FLIP!!

I also used the Stylish Stripes embossing folder and another piece from the thinlits die set.

I realize this is a "DUH!!!" tip, but the embossing should be done after running through with the thinlit; otherwise you'll flatten your embossing.

I certainly don't mean to question your intelligence! But sometimes I need those tips!! 😉

To attach these smaller pieces….2-Way Glue Pen or Tombow Multi-purpose Adhesive works great.

The front of the card uses the negative space of the arrows.

I just used my Paper Snips to cut out the shape of the thinlit that gets impressed into the cardstock.

That way I'm not guessing how far out to cut so it's even….I already have a line to follow.

If you don't quite know what I'm talking about, I don't think a picture will help very well….

You'll see what I mean when you make one yourself and look at the cardstock left behind.

And by the way, YES, Marcia, we WILL be making a flip card at your club–as well as all the rest of my clubs for awhile. *Ü* (Do you prefer Christmas or other?)

I have another (non-Christmas) flip card that we made at my workshop Tuesday and will be making at my clubs tonight and next Tuesday.

I'll share THAT one after THEY'VE all seen it. (You know I like surprises!)

Also on this card is one of our new Designer Buttons.

It's kinda hard to see, because of the light reflected, but the largest ones (3 sizes again in each Core Color Collection) have ribbed circles out to the edge.

You can see the ribbing best

  • in the picture in the catalog, pg 168 or
  • click the new buttons link and look at the large Pacific Point one in the container.

Reminder again: you get more thinlits in the set than just the one that cuts the flip card….

Have a great day!!
