Deck the Halls n all that jazz…. (flip!)

August 21, 2013
Project Pics· Tricks of the Trade

21 Aug

Was that a line Lucy said in Charlie Brown Christmas?

When she wanted Schroder to play Jingle Bells?

I dunno. Anyway, I thought of her.

Here's my first flip card using the (Circle) Thinlits Card Dies:

Flip!!

I love this die!!!!!!!!

Have you ever tried to make a flip card before?!?!?!

Lots of measuring….cutting to a certain line….scoring to a certain line…..

NOT ANYMORE!!!!

This die does it all in one run through the Big Shot!

LOVE.LOVE.LOVE.

Thinlits Card Dies, Chalk MarkerOk, here's another close-up for you to see.

I chose this as my first card to show you, because I used the White Stampin' Chalk Marker on the flip side.

Kinda fun!

Here's a little more info you might be interested to know:

  • 2 1/2" Circle Punch fits this Circle Card set. (That's the Old Olive.)
  • The larger 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch is what I showed here–not the thinlit die that comes with the set.
  • To use the thinlit easily in your Big Shot, cut your 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock in half at 5 1/2". The thinlit does the rest–and it fits in a normal (A2) envelope.

Remember, you get more thinlits in the set than just the one that cuts the flip card….

Don't you love the Candy Dots and the Old Olive Simply Styled Embellishments, too?

(clip n bow)

I also used Baked Brown Sugar for the card base, plus Season of Style DSP and Christmas Messages from the Holiday Catalog.

I adore the big bold greetings in the Christmas Messages.

Check back tomorrow for another flip card.

Have a great day!!
