A Little Splash of Champagne

September 19, 2012
I'm a COLOR Girl!· Project Pics

19 Sep

Have you seen our new Champagne Glimmer Paper? It's absolutely stunning!

Pleasant Poppies with Champagne Glimmer and Window Frames

It's been sitting on my stamping table just waiting for me to start playing with it!

I finally decided I couldn't stand it any longer, and I'm so happy with the results!

The computer just never does a card justice. You'll have to come and see it in real life!!

I also wanted to use a couple of my other new[er] products

(click each to see its images)….

  • Window Frames Collection of Framelits Dies
  • Festive Paper-Piercing Pack

You know my thoughts on paper-piercing. (If you don't……LOVE!!)

It's very hard to see in the picture, but I used it on
the black layer. And yes, if you haven't checked out the Festive
templates yet, one of them fits all the Window Frames Framelits.

Don't you just love coordinating products?!?!

I have to say I wasn't originally "sold" on the Window Frames
Framelits, because I wasn't sold on the set that coordinated with it.

(I
know…blasphemy to say such a thing…but I'm going with honesty here.)

However, I loved the shape too much, so I had to get the Framelits at least!

Ok, back to the Glimmer Paper, which was the starting point of this card….Can you tell I diecut it to be the same size as the flower image?

I wanted Glimmer, but I didn't want a whole wide frame of it. I just offset the same-sized layers.

One of the blessings of Glimmer Paper (as opposed to adding glitter with glue, etc.) is that you don't end up with glitter flaked everywhere.

Oh! And did you notice the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder on the left? (pg 188)

It's one of those skinnier (width) folders that come in a 2-pack. I overlooked it [by choice] completely until I saw it on a few Christmas samples.

The folder I didn't use from this pack looks kinda like snowflakes. (Used it on this card.)

Pleasant Poppies and Lacy & Lovely are the stamp sets I used on my Champagne Glimmer card.

And by the way, I chose the colors for this card with a facebook comment from Courtney in mind….

If you'd like to see a special color combo, make sure you give me a comment, and I'll try to work it in!
