This is just me being personal….
I want to remind you of a "youth retreat" my daughter Elizabeth attended a year ago.
It's called TEC (of West Michigan), which stands for Teens Encountering Christ.
TEC is a weekend (Friday thru Sunday) focused on leading (high school) teens to The Lord Jesus Christ–whether as their personal Savior for the first time ever or for a deeper, meaningful relationship with Him.
MY description of it is an emotionally intense weekend.
Elizabeth has grown spiritually and has formed life-long bonds with so many people through TEC!
It's a very important part of her life.
She went once as a "candidate" (first timer) and has worked at 2 other TECs. (They typically have one 4 times a year.) She even gave a talk at her last one! She was amazing! (And she doesn't like speaking in front of people.)
The reason I'm telling you this now is because she's getting ready to work another one, and she's looking for others that might want to go, too. The deadline is coming up soon.
Remember, this is specifically for high schoolers….

I have to say that when I first learned about it, I didn't have a lot of information.
And I was skeptical.
But I quickly became very impressed with how careful the organizers are to protect and encourage each person who's there. Displaying Jesus' love and acceptance are keys to making the weekend work.
