Happy weekend!!!
This post is late for several reasons I won’t go into, but I’m excited to share it!
I was getting ready to do my blog and realized I need to share with you….Can you believe Tyler turned 30 years old yesterday??? Crazy!! He was 6 years old when I started as a Stampin’ Up!ยฎ Demonstrator!! Rather than share his baby pic, it made me want to go looking for pics of him around when I first started demoing. He was involved in my business right from the start. In fact, before I even had my starter kit, he wanted to have a party with me…”you know, so you can get the sales, and we can have our friends over–like Grandma and Aunt Teresa…” I’ll share the rest of the story at the bottom for those who haven’t heard it (or haven’t heard it in awhile.)
So I’ll warn you, though, the pics are not the best cuz…they’re old. And I just took a pic of a pic with my phone. Guess what I found though! I forgot I actually STAMPED Tyler a cake for his 7th birthday! I stamped on rice paper. I’m not sure why it’s said it can be eaten; it was weird and undesirable. But cool looking! Do you veteran stampers remember this stamp set??? I don’t remember the name, but I loved it!

Look at that smile!

More evidence of always reading to Liz…plus a couple extras:

And these are some of the most recent family pics I have:

Tyler’s not really involved in my business anymore, but I still make sure he knows when Hostess Appreciation is, and he usually shows up and helps. Love that boy! (Plus he knows there will be good food, and the ladies love him, too.)

Ok so now I’ll tell you Tyler’s Stampin’ Up! party story. I convinced him we should wait until school was out so we could invite neighbor kids, too. He didn’t let me forget, and we planned it in the summer. He told EVERYONE about his party. AND he made out his wish list. I knew he had a bunch of money to spend, but I told him that just because he HAD it, didn’t mean we were gonna let him SPEND it all on stamps. He said, “well I AT LEAST have the get the things that are RETIRING!!” hahaha! Spoken like a pro. Well, as I said, he told everyone about his party, including those picking up orders, etc. My mom ordered something from me for me; my sister ordered; several customers ordered; and he ended up with a $400 party!! So he was able to get a lot from his wish list without having to pay a lot. ๐ And of course, I got the sales, and we had fun. :):):)
Happy birthday to Tyler! We’re helping him celebrate tonight.
Have an awesome weekend!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to TYLER!!!!
May he have a great time celebrating with family and friends! And, yes, I remember stamping with him at events when he was young. Such fun times. ๐
Thanks! Those WERE fun times!! The kids loved all you ladies!
