Just a Few Pics

Hello!!

Merry Christmas (late) and Happy New Year’s Eve!

I’m sorry I’ve been absent! I’ve been enjoying the holidays and relaxing!! I didn’t think I even took any pics, but I realized that’s not quite true. We took a selfie Christmas day hanging out at Tyler’s house to send to my sister in Texas. She sent ME (our families) a pic of her family out on a Christmas morning run! I sent her a couch potato pic. 😀

Liz wasn’t able to come home this time, so we sent Christmas to her.

So I also have an update to share with you….Some of you may have seen the Facebook post I shared from Tyler’s roommate, and some of you I emailed directly to see if you or your families were interested in a dog that they found. Well, even though the post was shared over 400 times (I guess?), no one claimed her. But Tyler had a friend that was already coming to visit from out of town and was very interested in her. Turns out, she fell in love with Tyler–and vice versa. I think he secretly wanted to keep her but was ready to give her up; I mean, they already had 3 dogs in the house! But she’s small, sweet and friendly. And his dog Walter was the first of the 3 to accept her.

When I eventually asked Tyler if his friend was taking her home, he said, “No she’s become very attached to me. She wouldn’t even give Matt a chance, and it’s become obvious she’s home and happy. So she’s staying. Even Milo has decided to accept her now. [Steph: He was the last dog to hold out.] Her name is Eleanor, Ellie for short.”

Ellie has a new home.

Yesterday Tyler shared this pic. “She got a sweater today so she’s not so cold all the time.”

Then just now he shared this one. “I got her this bed to go in her sleeping crate. It hasnt’ made it to the crate yet but she brings all her toys to it and sits there and wrestles with the stuffed ones and chews her bones. [Steph edit: obviously, she’s claimed more than one.] It’s also the new spot she brings her pebbles of food to drop and eat individually instead of on the floor. Every day more of her personality comes out. She plays a lot with toys and just is happier every day.” They found out at the vet she’s 2-3 years old. Walter is 3 as well.

Well, that’s all I have to share for now.

Have a safe and wonderful holiday!

Ahhh…great pictures! And – bless Tyler for taking in the abandoned/stray dog. It is time consuming and expensive so I am glad he is up for it.

Yes, it truly helps that she’s so tiny. She takes a few morsels of food at a time to somewhere else to eat. She’s funny. And it’s funny to see her and Walter together with such a size difference.
