Good morning peeps!!!
I hope you had an awesome weekend!!
I had my (virtual) Leaders Summit this weekend, and IT WAS FABULOUS!!!!
We've been spoiled by amazing IN PERSON events for so long!
I wasn't sure how ONLINE would compare!!
Like, it's not the same, right???
IT.WAS.FABULOUS.
I said that already.
They used some new (to us) platform that aligned with Zoom, so we could also have breakout rooms….6-8 people in a room for networking!
It was amazing!!!
Every Stampin' Up! Event I "attend", I'm reminded just how special of a company I represent.
Anyway, my weekend was great!
And Todd and I made a peach pie together, too!!
Yum. I didn't make one last year.
I still prefer Betty, but it felt good to work on it together.
I made the crust and he sliced the peaches.
I like him.
Hahaha!!
I just looked up at my title to my post and laughed!
Cuz I WASN'T talking about Todd!!
Haha!
I had my Whale Done Bundle Classes last week, and I just had to do a SPOTLIGHT of this cute little guy!
He cracks me up!!!
He's in the middle of the EAC (if you recall from Finding Nemo), and he's flashing a smile at the "camera"!
Just love him.
Here's the complete card:
SPOTLIGHTING: a technique used to create a focal point of a certain area of an image. It doesn't have to be a specific image; it could be just a small area of a much larger item.
- Often in stamping, there will be a large uncolored image or scene.
- Then an area of the image is popped up with a colored layer of cardstock behind it; you really can use any graduated shape–punches or dies–but it's often circles or squares
- Then the part of the image that is "spotlighted" is colored.
Obviously, my definition doesn't quite fit my example since I completely used already colored DSP.
But my little guy is definitely spotlighted with the colored layer behind it. (You can choose to pop it with Dimensionals or not.)
And I used my Stitched Shapes Dies! 😀
