Probably most of you know, I just don't like to color when I stamp!
It's just a rare thing.
Part of it is I feel it takes longer!
And I'm a "stamp-n-go" kind o' girl!
Another thing is when I'm demoing, I try to be quick, so I'm not BORING you!!
But one last thing is I just don't feel like I color well!
I don't have a good concept of shading and the effects of lighting.
Well, I have to say, the Stampin' Blends made me look pretty impressive!
I'm so happy!!
Look at my leaves!!!
I followed some of the techniques from the videos Stampin' Up! published.

I used Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and the Color Lifter.
2 things that helped me feel most comfortable were:
- Working with a small area at a time, cuz they blend best when wet.
- Starting with the darker shade first and covering it with the lighter and continuing blending to an UNcolored area.
OH–and DON'T FORGET you need the Memento ink pad for your base image with these markers!–AND let it dry before continuing to add color!!
In case you didn't check it out yet–and so YOU don't have to do the math–there is NO financial advantage to ordering the whole kit of markers at once.
It's EASIER ordering 1 item. But you don't save money.
Ok, so I also mentioned today's project as a little reminder of the November Paper Pumpkin Kit….
As I expected, the Buffalo Plaid was prominent in the October kit. Yay!!
And I expect the November kit to have the white version in some way.

This is lovely, Stephanie!
I just received my set and excited to try them.
Only one thing to comment, which I did not like, is the fact that the color name on the marker is very tiny and almost illegible. Had a hard time to pair them.

Thank you, Dalia! I know—it IS hard to fit or see the color name on the markers. It’s not designed for our “old eyes.” 😉
