Northern Lights–Stampin’ Up! Style

December 1, 2015
Project Pics· Tricks of the Trade

1 Dec

I've been waiting to show you this card for weeks!!!

Last night was the last club at which I was planning to demo it.

Lovely As a Tree, Jingle All the Way, www.dazzledbystamping.com

I LOVE THIS!!!

I learned this technique from my friend Linda Stearns.

There are many other versions or interpretations of the Northern Lights technique on Pinterest. You'll have to check those out, too.

But this version is right in my wheelhouse!

Besides the Night of Navy "haze" over the card to give it the look of night, there are only 3 colors used for the technique here: Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, & Rich Razzleberry. Blackberry Bliss is the card base, of course! 😉

The key is to overlap your colors to get the full spectrum.

I have never seen the Northern Lights in person. Have you???

They seem so eerie but beautiful!

So tonight is my Christmas Party/Ornament Exchange. So excited!!

That means hopefully I'll be taking pics of the ornaments we exchange, and I'll post them here tomorrow.

(I have to remember to do it!! I only get to keep one of them. We each bring one ornament and swap them out.)

Have a fantastic day! And don't forget to check out the new Weekly Deals today!

Remember, if you can fall in love with a project, you can learn to create it! Here to help you channel your inner Creative Genius…
