Last month was a COLORING month for me!!
That's right.
I was showing my customers the Stampin' Blends.
And most of us used them on a cute little gift card holder made from the Mini Treats Bag Thinlits.
For this project, we used the Petal Passion DSP (pg 23 in Occasions Catalog) for a faux belly band.
If you do the same, make sure you check out the back after you color it.
It's just as beautiful!!
(I just forgot to take a pic.)
Here's the gift card holder–deconstructed, you might say. (Can you tell I watch cooking shows??? :D)
Ok, so I have to tell you an announcement about the Stampin' Blends.
I'm thinking SAB may have brought out the Stampin' Blends buyers.
That or many other demonstrators have been demoing them, too!
SU! just told us that several of the colors are going on back order soon–with an undetermined in stock date. They won't even have an expected date until toward the end of April.
From Stampin' Up!:
Unfortunately, the quick increase in sales, along with a long lead time from our supplier in China, and the temporary shutdown of all factories in China for the government-mandated Chinese New Year holiday, has created a perfect storm for backorders. In the next coming weeks, we anticipate that approximately 14 of our current 27-color Stampin’ Blends collection will go on backorder:
- Bermuda Bay (Light and Dark – currently on backorder))
- Bronze
- Calypso Coral (Dark)
- Crumb Cake (Light and Dark)
- Ivory (currently on backorder)
- Pink Pirouette (Light and Dark – currently on backorder)
- Pool Party (Light and Dark – currently on backorder)
- Pumpkin Pie (Dark)
- Smoky Slate (Light and Dark)
One more reminder about the Stampin' Blends:
IF YOU STAMP and then color with them (rather than color DSP like we did), YOU NEED THE MEMENTO INK PAD so it doesn't bleed.
It is made for use with these special alcohol based markers.
Here's the list:

Have a fabulous weekend!!
(I'll be back a little later with a new class and some class reminders.)
