Throwback Thursday

February 19, 2015
Project Pics· Tricks of the Trade

19 Feb

Here's a project I first showed SEVERAL years ago at one of my Hostess Appreciation Parties.

(For those of you who can recall….the party was at Todd's work conference room. And I haven't had a party there in YEARS!!)

Anyway, I love this easy-to-make "throwback" project:

Honeycomb Hello, Banner Banter fridge magnets, www.dazzledbystamping.com

These were the updated versions we made at this year's Party using Honeycomb Hello (bundle) and Banner Banter.

Here's what you need to make these adorable fridge magnets:

  • stamps and bold colors of ink pads (shows up better through the glass marble)
  • flat glass marbles ($1 store or Hobby Lobby [$2? clearer glass]–wedding section)
  • button magnets (smaller than a quarter; larger than a dime–very strong; $6/50ct pkg at Wal-Mart)
  • Crystal Effects (SU!)
  • 1" Circle Punch (SU!)

1) Stamp and punch the image.

2) Put a pea-sized amount [or less] of Crystal Effects on marble; press stamped circle–image side down–onto marble.

3) Put less Crystal Effects on the back of the stamped circle; press button magnet onto marble.

4) Wipe away any excess glue & press down stamped image completely again. (It likes to curl a little after it's pressed.)

5) Let dry; decorate your fridge with your creations!

Have a great day!!
