Happy Saturday!

Ok, I told you I needed to edit (reduce the quantity of) my pics. And you won’t believe it, but I did. BUT–this set of pics needs many more to share their magnificence. I’m so thankful Todd loves taking pics and loves sunrises or I wouldn’t see any!! These pics are my absolute favorite pics from our trip. It was morning #2 on the sea. No other sunrise pics match this day. The sky looks like it’s on FIRE! Stunning. I am in awe of God’s incredible artwork! And Todd did such a great job capturing its beauty…while I slept peacefully. Thank you, My Love. And thank you, Lord for your majestic creation.

Ok, I THINK Day 2 would have been when we arrived in Sitka. Whether or not that’s the case, that’s where we’re heading in this blog. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sitka was really pretty. I enjoyed it. Oh–AND Sitka has a complimentary shuttle from the ship to downtown. If you go there, it’s quite helpful to schedule ahead of time–for coming back, too.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have much luck with wildlife on this trip! Shocking! My friend saw whales and a pod of dolphins swimming and jumping just from her balcony! So jealous. Well, Todd posed with a moose. ๐Ÿ˜‰ He’s so cute. (Yes, I meant Todd.)

So I just realized the wildlife we DID see WAS in Sitka! Right here! If you look really closely, you can see an eagle that landed on a stand in the VERY right edge of this pic. At this same spot, we also saw a seal coming close to land. That was about it for us!

Are you a Top Gun/Maverick fan? WE ARE. I spotted this shirt and TWISTED HIS ARM ๐Ÿ˜‰ that he needed it. I LOVE IT. If you’re not a Top Gun fan, I’m sorry. And you won’t get the pic/shirt. But it’s perfect. And Todd was ALREADY a fan of a brand we found in Maine…Cool as a Moose. Perfection. (And it matches his eyes.)

Another “BEST PART” of these amazing trips is seeing and spending time with friends we’ve made over the years and meeting new ones. This is my friend Lisa Marie Smith. I still call her my cruise family. We met on my first full incentive trip. (I earned 2 weekend getaways when Stampin’ Up! still offered them and before I earned a full one.) And we helped each other NOT GIVE UP to make it on THIS trip!

This year we had the honor of meeting her dad, Dan. Lisa Marie’s daughter is special needs and had been sick when the trip registration deadline happened. So her husband planned to stay home with their daughter. Dad/Dan was awesome, and we had so much fun with them both. One of the fun things we did with them–a few times–was Name That Tune. Our first night was Motown. We also did 70s, Elton John, Classic Rock. And we TRIED to do 80s. The place was packed!! We were so disappointed. And btw, I say WE did this, but Todd was the master! But it was just a fun little half hour thing. We also played Euchre, open handed cuz Dan needed to learn again still. We just enjoyed our time together. We were sad to say goodbye on our last night.

Thankfully, Lisa Marie was able to get to the dining room right away when they got on the ship and changed our dinner reservations for the week to be 1) TOGETHER and 2) 5pm rather than 8:30pm! So we had dinner together almost every night. And we also enjoyed our time with Brenda Quintana and her family. It’s funny…ever since OnStage in Raleigh, NC a couple years ago, Brenda and I keep running into each other! She says I’m stalking her. THEN it was crazy cuz for some reason–even though both of these tables are separated–they have the SAME table number on them. (Well, one has no table number but it’s considered the same number.) So she walked up and thought we (stalker me) stole their table! Dinners were good. I don’t remember faves for anyone else, but I had fish a couple different nights and those were perfect! What I REALLY enjoyed at our meals (breakfast actually) was the fresh squeezed orange juice! It actually took me back to our trip to Mexico! Fresh OJ every morning!

Disclaimer: less than 1% of all demonstrators earn the opportunity to attend these amazing trips each year. Thank you again, friends, family, customers and team members for helping us get there!

Have a fabulous day! I’ll be back again soon with more!
